For Huawei phones running EMUI 9.0 or later, touch and hold the location icon in the notification bar to turn on Access my location.

If you have turned on this switch but Weather is not automatically updated, perform the following steps.

Weather is not updated

  1. The Huawei Health app has been cleared from the background. Please ensure that this app is running in the background. We recommend that you add this app to the list of protected background apps.
    • Huawei phones: Go to Optimizer > Permissions and turn on the switches for Auto-launch and Secondary launch for this app.If you cannot find the Huawei Health app in Optimizer, it indicates that this app has been added to the trustlist of the protected background apps by default. In this case, you will not need to reconfigure the trustlist. However, you need to check whether other phone manager apps have been installed on your phone. If such an app has been installed, add Huawei Health to the list of protected background apps in this app.
    • Non-Huawei phones running Android: Open the Huawei Health app, go to Devices > Troubleshooting, and select your phone model to view how to enable background protection.
    • iOS phones: The iOS system has a memory management mechanism applicable to all apps. To ensure the running speed and power consumption of the phone, apps that have been running in the background for a long time will be cleared. Currently, there is no solution to this mechanism. We recommend that you use Huawei Health more often to prevent this app from being closed in the background.
  1. Weatherinformation cannot be updated in real time when the Huawei Health app is running in the background. Ensure that you have selected to always allow the Huawei Health app to access your location.

Huawei phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps, search for the Huawei Health app, and go to Permissions > Location.

iOS phones: Go to Settings > Privacy > HUAWEI Health > Location, and select Always.

  1. The Huawei bands/watches and other Huawei wearables only displayWeatherfor the current day and do not update it in real time. We recommend that you keep your phone connected to your device via Bluetooth, ensure the network is running normally, and swipe down on the home screen in Huawei Health. After Weather is updated, it will then be synced to your wearable. (In normal cases, Weather is updated every hour.)

Weather is not displayed

  1. If Weather on your band/watch has not been updated for more than 6 hours, your band/watch will clear the weather information of the current day and display "--" at 00:00. It is recommended that you open the Huawei Health app and swipe down on the home screen to update Weather.
  2. If your phone is in sleep mode at night, it will not be able to access the Internet and update Weather. In this case, we recommend that you turn on Stay connected while asleep.If you are using a phone running EMUI 9.0 or later, go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Stay connected while asleep.

  4. Weather information cannot be updated in real time when the Huawei Health app is running in the background. Ensure that you have selected to always allow the Huawei Health app to access your location.Huawei phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps, search for the Huawei Health app, and go to Permissions > Location.iOS phones: Go to Settings > Privacy > HUAWEI Health > Location, and select Always.

Weather is inconsistent with that on my phone

Weather displayed on your watch/band is obtained by Huawei Health from the specified service provider. The service providers of Huawei Health and your phone are different, and therefore Weather displayed on your watch/band and phone may be slightly different.

If the issue persists, call the Huawei customer service hotline.
